We are commencing a huge UK-wide recruitment drive for experienced Medical Communications Writers and Editors, at a variety of levels. As a specialist recruitment supplier to over 60 Medical Communications Agencies across England, Wales and Scotland, we have opportunities to suit any writers and editors with experience within Medical Communications, who can demonstrate individuality and creative flair.
Medical Communications Industry
The Medical Communications / Education industry is growing, with more and more Pharmaceutical companies and Research Organisations making use of their extensive services, for the purposes of marketing and raising awareness of their drugs and devices.
We are looking for candidates who have proven experience of working within a range of media, including traditional print-based publications, websites, and audio / visual presentations.
A career in Medical Writing is an excellent direction for someone with a strong Science background, who also has the creativity and flair that may not be sufficiently harnessed in a laboratory environment. In terms of long-term career progression, Medical Writing offers an exciting variety of paths, such as Senior Writing / Editing, Account Management, Clinical Trials, Business Development and Marketing Operations.
Typical Salary & Benefits
While salaries can vary considerably depending on location and agency size, Medical Writers can typically expect to earn £25k - £35k, with more senior writers earning around £30k - £45k. In addition, writers can work on a freelance basis in some instances.
The clients with whom we work are intently focused on investing in their staff, with extensive ongoing training, and competitive benefits.
Experience Required For Our Vacancies
We are ideally looking for candidates with at least 2 years’ experience of working as a Writer / Editor for a Medical Communications Agency, backed with a minimum 2:1 degree in a Life Science discipline.
For trainee writing roles, we are also keen to hear from graduates with a PhD (or equivalent) in a Life Science discipline, who can demonstrate a genuine passion for writing, and an informative, creative and individual style.
